Speaking to GB News, the royal biographer claimed the 'His Royal Highness' title currently bestowed upon Andrew could be stripped by parliament. Ms Levin suggested the Queen has no "jurisdiction" as to whether Prince Andrew can keep the title and said such a decision is in the hands of parliament. Her comments come as she speculated on what lies ahead for the Duke of York after Virginia Giuffre, 38, filed a lawsuit against Andrew in a New York court on Monday. She alleges that she was “trafficked to him” by the late pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and “sexually abused” aged-17 by Andrew. Maxwell has denied being Epstein's accomplace while Prince Andrew categorically denies all of the allegations.

Ms Levin claimed: “I think certainly he will have to leave all of his military words behind him.

       “What is interesting the HRH."

She went on to suggest “I don’t think that is in the Queens jurisdiction" instead stressing how she believed "that has to be decided by parliament".

“We will have to wait on that one.”

The royal expert claimed: “If he is innocent and he can prove it - then obviously he can keep it."

She added how she suspected Prince Andrew "will be in the background" from now on.

Ms Levin concluded by joking: "And probably will be very upset that he can’t go abroad and play golf!”

Ms Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Andrew in a New York court on Monday August 9.

Ms Maxwell, 59, has pleaded not guilty to the eight-count indictment which concerns her alleged efforts to find and groom underage girls for Epstein to sexually abuse.

Ms Giuffre is suing Prince Andrew under the Child Victims Act which was passed in 2018 by the state of New York to help victims of historical sexual abuse to seek redress.
