SEREMBAN: Locals above 18 years of age who have yet to get their Covid-19 vaccination can walk into any of the 11 designated facilities in the state from Sept 20, says Datuk Seri Aminudin Harun.

       The Mentri Besar said the privilege was only for individuals born in Negri Sembilan.

       "The walk-ins will be held at the facilities located all over the state until Sept 25.

       "Although our records show that all individuals above 18 in the state have received their first dose, we are worried there are still those who may have been left out," he told reporters after chairing the state exco meeting at Wisma Negri on Wednesday (Sept 15).

       Aminuddin said two centres in Seremban that would be offering the service were the Seremban City Council Hall and the Paroi Youth and Sport Complex.

       The others were Teluk Kemang Youth and Sports Complex in Port Dickson, D'Sury Hall in Jelebu, Jempol Land Office Hall, Jempol Municipal Council Hall, Felda Palong 6 Sports and Community Complex, Dato Bahaman Hall Kuala Pilah, Rembau Health Clinic, Dewan Perdana in Tampin and Dewan Besar in Gemas.

       He said only those who had not received their appointments through MySejahtera or had yet to register would be allowed to walk in.

       "Those who have received appointments through MySejahtera will not be allowed in," he said adding that the programme would be held from 9am to 3pm.

       He said the state Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) has secured 19,000 jabs under the programme.

       "It will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. If we run out of supply for a particular day, the individuals can always make an appointment and return the next day," he said.

       Aminuddin appealed to those who experienced Covid-19 symptoms, had been in close contact with an infected individual or were under quarantine to stay at home.

       He said the state authorities decided to provide the service in all districts to avoid overcrowding.

       Negri Sembilan, which was now under Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan, achieved Covid-19 herd immunity on Sept 2.

       As of Sept 14, almost 90% of those above 18 in the state had been fully vaccinated.
