SEGAMAT: The Segamat district office has denied carrying out walk-in inoculation at vaccination centres (PPVs) for those who have yet to receive their appointment date.
Segamat district officer Nasri Ali said that currently, the distribution of vaccines at the three public PPVs here are based on appointments.
"The Segamat Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force is still looking into all aspects before implementing walk-in vaccination for those without appointments.
"All aspects need to be studied in detail before we can implement walk-in inoculation.
"Hence, the information that has been spreading on social media about the walk-in vaccination is inaccurate," he said in a statement on Friday (Aug 13).
Nasri, who is also the Segamat Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force, also urged the public to continue adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP) to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
