KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will continue to monitor and use all available channels to condemn the attacks by the Israeli government on the Palestinians, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) Friday decision on the crisis in Gaza was a clear message that the current atrocity must be stopped.

"Although according to our brothers and sisters in Palestine it (the ICJ’s decision) did not completely provide (the end of the war), the decision, however, it is a clear stance by the ICJ that it is condemning such an attack.

"The decision by ICJ yesterday (Jan 26) is a clear call for humanitarian aid to be expedited (for the Palestinians).

"Like what was said by the Foreign Minister (Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan) during the United Nations Security Council Open Debate On The Situation in The Middle East Including Palestinian Question in New York recently, Malaysia will continue to monitor the situation in Gaza.

"We will continue to do whatever it takes to support (the people of Palestine)," he told reporters when met at the Zoo Negara here on Saturday (Jan 27).

On Friday (Jan 26), it was reported that the ICJ had ordered Israel to prevent acts of genocide against Palestinians and do more to help civilians.
