PETALING JAYA: Prison wardens will see their "monitoring incentives" increased from RM150 to RM200 monthly.
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said more than 14,000 Prisons Department personnel stand to benefit from the incentive increase.
The allowance will also be extended to 775 cadet officers at Prisons Department institutes involved in monitoring inmates, he added when tabling Budget 2022 in Parliament on Friday (Oct 29).
He said duty allowances for Police Volunteer Reserve (PVR) personnel will be increased from RM7.80 an hour to RM9.80 for officers, and to RM8 from RM6 for other rank-and-file personnel.
This increase will benefit over 10,000 PVR personnel.
