Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown in Spring closed on Saturday as fire crews provide emergency care. Those affected are experiencing minor skin irritation and trouble inhaling, officials said.

In a statement, Spring Fire Department urged people to “avoid the area” as it provides “emergency care for dozens of people who have been affected by a chemical leak”.

“A total of 26 people have been transported from Six Flags Hurricane Harbor to area hospitals,” it said.

“Thirty nine people refused ambulance transport after decontamination by Spring Firefighters.
