PETALING JAYA: The water supply for the 472 areas in Selangor experiencing unscheduled disruption has been fully restored at 8am on Wednesday (May 4), says Air Selangor.
It said water supply for five regions namely Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54 areas), Sepang (196 areas), Putrajaya (23 areas) and Kuala Langat (27 areas) following the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant and Bukit Tampoi Water Treatment Plant has fully recovered.
“Air Selangor would like to thank the consumers for their patience and cooperation during this unscheduled water supply disruption period,” it said in a statement on Wednesday (May 4).

On Tuesday (May 3), 472 areas in Selangor experienced unscheduled water disruptions from 3pm due to odour pollution at the Jenderam Hilir raw water pump station intake.
Last Saturday (April 30), odour pollution was also detected at the Air Selangor water pump station, causing another unscheduled water disruption to some parts of the Klang Valley.
The disruption saw 463 areas in Selangor go without water for over 12 hours before being restored the next morning.
