THE mum of missing chef Claudia Lawrence says the police search at a fishing spot for her daughter 12 years on is a fresh nightmare.
Joan Lawrence, 77, says she has not been told why police have suddenly started the search at the gravel pits.

She said: “I’m very, very churned up. It is too much to take in in a short time.
“Wondering where it has all come from — is it some information? Why Sand Hutton?
“I cannot think of any connection with Sand Hutton that Claudia would have.
"This is about me and a daughter that I have not seen for 12-and-a-half years and every single day is a nightmare. This is an added one.”
Divers were yesterday searching the waters about six miles from where Claudia lived in York.
It is thought they may be planning to drain some areas.
Police are keen to find her phone and rucksack. Claudia, 35, vanished as she walked to work at York University in March 2009.

Her dad, Peter, 74, died earlier this year without knowing what had happened to his daughter.
Peter’s pal and family spokesman Martin Dales said: “If that doesn’t make someone feel guilty enough to finally reveal what happened, where is humanity?”
