THIS is the shocking moment a woman wields a huge GUN in broad daylight on the streets of Manchester.

       The woman was seen stalking the streets with four companions while holding the air rifle - as terrified onlookers in Swinton, Salford, feared for their lives.

       Police have confirmed they arrested a 34-year-old woman and seized the air rifle, along with four knives, during a search.

       In the harrowing clip filmed just before 5pm, the woman was seen striding with the terrifying gun, surrounded by four others.

       Witnesses said it looked like the woman was "stalking" someone as she had a "look of focus" - while they feared she would turn around and shoot at them.

       The woman brandishing the gun then pointed at something in the distance on Stanwell Road - before running to her car.

       She then drove in the car and stopped at a house - as witnesses said it looked like the gunwoman had found her "target."

       One onlooker, who was with his young children at the time, said his daughter noticed that the woman was carrying a gun and started crying.

       Recalling the ordeal from the weekend, he revealed: "I went into shock.

       "I visualised this crazy person shooting at me and my kids.

       In the background of the clip, one person can be heard saying: "Sick b**** got a gun. What the f***."

       The ordeal is said to have happened on the junction of Sandwell Road and Partington Lane - just yards away from a primary school.

       Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: "A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.

       "Officers later searched an address and seized a weapon, confirmed as an air rifle, along with four knives.

       "She has been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
