IT was a case of the somewhat familiar “human parking”, which led to an angry confrontation.
A man who was looking for a parking spot at a shopping mall in Nanjing, eastern China, saw two women standing in a vacant parking bay to “book” it, reported China Press.
Angered by the women’s antics, he reversed his car and tried to force them out of the parking spot.
However, the women refused to move and scolded the driver.
One of them tried to contact someone on her mobile phone for help, saying: “Somebody is fighting for a car park with me! He is hurting me!”
The driver and his passenger alighted from their car and quarrelled with the women.
However, the man eventually “lost” the argument and left.
A viral video of the incident has made its rounds on social media. Many threw their support behind the driver.
> Sin Chew Daily reported that Hong Kong actress Anita Yuen was spotted in a neighbourhood in Shenzhen, China, volunteering to help with Covid-19 tests.
Passers-by were surprised to see the 50-year-old celebrity who has been keeping a low profile.
Yuen was familiar with the neighbourhood as she had undergone quarantine at a nearby hotel.
Upon finding out that it needed help in the wake of a resurgence of infections, she volunteered her services.
“Just like the other volunteers, she is an ordinary citizen who showed passion for volunteer work,” one of the workers said, adding that Yuen spent about five hours there.
