Nigel Farage has predicted Labour and the Tories will "barely exist" in five years' time.

The Reform UK leader said there would be "fundamental" change to the electoral system by the end of the decade.

He told the New Statesman: “And with that, the Labour Party and the Conservative Party frankly will barely exist.

“I promise you it’s going to change. And it’s interesting. The only thing I’ve been really good at in my life – and I’ve done a few things quite well, and done a few things quite badly, but I’ve done lots of things – is my ability to see change and what’s coming in the future.

“There is a massive change coming. The old order ain’t going to be there. I can see it coming.”

Tory Chairman concedes Keir Starmer heading for massive majority

Tory party chairman Richard Holden appeared to conceded in a radio interview today that Labour is on course for a "supermajority".

Appearing on Basildon radio station Gateway 97.8, Mr Holden was asked whether Keir Starmer will be PM next week.

He replied: "Well if you look at the national polls that's what it's pointing to".

"It's a difficult election and I think there is a danger as some polls are pointing to of a supermajority for the Labour Party."

Rishi Sunak tells Big Issue that work is best solution to poverty

In an interview with the Big Issue, Rishi Sunak has insisted that work is the best solution to poverty.

He argued: "Work is the best way out of poverty as the Big Issue shows, and our welfare reforms have helped around four million more people move into work since 2010. We have brought child poverty down since 2010 and reduced the number of children living in workless households by around a third".

"As part of our clear plan, we have significantly expanded free childcare for working parents so that parents can go back to work or increase their hours. This is so important because children living in households where all adults work are around five times less likely to be in absolute poverty than those living in workless households."

Asked whether he'd rather have a coffee with Keir Starmer or Nigel Farage, Mr Sunak joked: "I don’t know either of them very well. Keir Starmer hasn’t kept the same position longer than it takes him to drink a coffee and I don’t know Nigel Farage at all".

43% of women say Labour is a threat to their safety and rights due to trans policy

Whitestone Insight finds that a whopping 43% of women voters believe Labour is a threat to their rights and safety.

The poll finds widespread opposition to any moves to make the law more favourable to trans people, with an overwhelming majority saying women cannot have a penis, and trans women shouldn't be able to access women's bathrooms or play women's sports.

Over four in ten female voters agree Labour is a threat to their safety due to the party's flirting with woke trans policies.

New poll shows Reform UK popularity has increased over the last week

An exclusive poll for the Daily Express has revealed that the turbulent past week for Nigel Farage has done little to dent Reform UK's national popularity.

Whitestone Insight records that Reform's lead over the Tories is now three points, with Mr Farage's party storming up to 21% support.

Meanwhile the Tories are down to just 18%.

Labour's 38% suggests they're on course for a majority of over 250, while the LibDems would overtake the Tories and become the official opposition.

Guardian endorses Labour and Keir Starmer

The Guardian has endorsed the Labour Party for the upcoming general election, having backed the party consistently since 2015.

In an editorial, the centre-left paper appears slightly critical of Labour's policy platform and the manifesto's lack of ambition, but says: "Lurking in Labour’s manifesto is a plan to give ordinary people opportunity, security and dignity".

"To create a more equitable society, power must be in the hands of politicians prepared to shape the country that we want to see. That is why the Guardian would vote, with hope and enthusiasm, for Labour to lead Britain to a better future."

Boris Johnson heaps praise on Rishi Sunak as he calls on Brits to dodge Starmergeddon

Boris Johnson has promised voters that it is “not to late” to avoid “the cliff edge” of a Labour super majority between now and next Thursday.

In his latest rousing column, the former Prime Minister says Britain can still “collectively come to our senses” and “dodge the bottle” of Keir Starmer, Angela Rayner and a decade of socialism.

Writing for the Daily Mail this afternoon, Mr Johnson warns that if the polls are correct, Britain is set to usher in a “left-wing socialist supremacy that lasts for a decade or more”, with Sir Keir being handed an “absolutely colossal parliamentary majority”.

In a show of unity with Rishi Sunak, Mr Johnson heaps praise on his successor in No. 10, writing that the PM “utterly skewered his opponent” on illegal migration in this week’s BBC debate, and on other topics.

Channel 4 hits back at claims Reform canvasser was paid actor

Channel 4 has hit back at claims that Andrew Parker, a Reform UK canvasser filmed using a racist term to describe the Prime Minister, was a paid actor.

A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: "We strongly stand by our rigorous and duly impartial journalism which speaks for itself.

"We met Mr Parker for the first time at Reform UK party headquarters, where he was a Reform party canvasser.

"We did not pay the Reform UK canvasser or anyone else in this report. Mr Parker was not known to Channel 4 News and was filmed covertly via the undercover operation."

Farage claims Reform campaigner in racism row was part of 'set-up'

Nigel Farage has claimed the Reform UK canvasser filmed using a racist term to describe the Prime Minister was part of a "set-up".

Appearing on ITV's Loose Women, he said: "It was an act right from the very start."

Saying Andrew Parker, the canvasser, had been "rough speaking" and "not being himself", Mr Farage added: "I have to tell you, this whole thing was a complete and total set-up, I have no doubt about that."

Asked whether he thought Mr Parker had been paid, he said: "I don't know whether he was paid or not."

He added: "I'm saying it's possible, I don't know. Something is wrong here."

Racist remarks 'make me angry', says Sunak as he challenges Farage

Rishi Sunak has said Nigel Farage "has some questions to answer" after a racial slur against the Prime Minister by a Reform UK canvasser caused him hurt and anger.

On a campaign visit to a school in Teesside, the Prime Minister told broadcasters: "My two daughters have to see and hear Reform people who campaign to Nigel Farage calling me an effing p***. It hurts and it makes me angry, and I think he has some questions to answer.

"I don't repeat those words lightly. I do so deliberately, because this is too important not to call out clearly for what it is."

Asked whether he was frustrated that some former Tory voters are leaning towards Reform UK when their activists are making racist and homophobic comments, Mr Sunak said: "When you see Reform candidates and campaigners seemingly using racist and misogynistic language and opinion, seemingly without challenge, I think it tells you something about the culture in the Reform party.

Ashworth says he is 'on the hunt for Hunt'

Labour's Jonathan Ashworth said he is going "on the hunt for Hunt" as he accused the Chancellor of shredding his own manifesto.

As the shadow paymaster general unveiled a faux "Rishi's mega mortgages" shopfront aimed at highlighting the Tories' impact on mortgages, Mr Ashworth questioned if anyone had seen Jeremy Hunt out campaigning since the General Election was called.

Speaking from Croydon, he said: "We are here today to unveil our latest estate agent shop, Rishi Sunak's mega mortgages, because we know with five more years of the Tories, means five more years of paying more on your mortgage."

He added: "(Mr Hunt) put out a newsletter in his marginal constituency saying that the so-called welfare savings have already been spent, I've never known a general election campaign where the Chancellor of the Exchequer shreds his own manifesto.

"By the way, has anyone actually seen Jeremy Hunt at this campaign? I think my next stop will be over to Surrey to Godalming on the hunt for Hunt, 'cause no-one has seen Jeremy Hunt in this General Election campaign."

Glastonbury 'politically charged' days before election

Festival-goers at Glastonbury have said this year's event feels "politically charged" amid various reminders about next week's General Election, including a sign which reads: "Vote Out to Help Out."

Green energy entrepreneur and Labour donor Dale Vince has taken his Just Vote campaign to the festival on Worthy Farm this year, encouraging revellers to go to the polls next Thursday.

The 62-year-old said: "We're here to reach out to festival-goers and the general public to take part in the next election.

"I think it's the most important of our lifetimes because of where we are in terms of the climate crisis. I don't think there's many Tories here... but we don't really get into that... it's not about who you vote for - just vote."

Footage of Reform UK campaigners presents Farage with 'test of leadership, says Starmer

Nigel Farage faces a "test of leadership", Sir Keir Starmer has said after footage emerged of Reform UK campaigners using a racial slur and suggesting migrants should be used as "target practice".

The recording, made by an undercover Channel 4 reporter, showed another canvasser describing the Pride flag as "degenerate" and suggesting members of the LGBT community are paedophiles.

Asked about the video on Friday morning, Sir Keir said he had been "shocked" by the footage, describing it as "clearly racist" and adding: "I think this is a test of leadership."

Mr Farage has sought to distance himself from the comments, which included a campaigner using a racist term to describe the Prime Minister, saying he was "dismayed" by the "appalling sentiments" expressed.

But Sir Keir said: "You have to ask the question why so many people who are supporting Reform seem to be exposed in this particular way. It's for a leader to change his or her party, to make sure the culture is right, and the standards are understood by everybody within the party."

Starmer faces fury over Labour's stance on women's-only spaces

Sir Keir Starmer was taken to task over Labour's trans stance by a furious BBC Radio 5 Live caller.

Jane from London asked the Labour leader why he was "not listening to biological women when we say we don't want to share our spaces with biological men".

She said: "You need to think about 51% of the population who are sick of the absolute twaddle that comes out of your mouth when we ask these questions."

The Labour leader replied: "We will protect women's spaces and I've been clear about that for a very long time.

"I know you don't want to hear what I have done but we will do it in the future as well.

"I will also say this, there are a small number, granted, of people born into a sex they do not identify with who are often very traumatised.

"For 20 years now we've had a law which allows that to be recongised through a certificate and I will treat them as I treat every single person in this country with dignity and respect and not allow this to become a toxic discussion."

Starmer vows to resign as Labour leader if he loses election

Sir Keir Starmer has vowed to quit as Labour leader if he loses the General Election.

Asked by BBC Radio 5 Live if he would resign as Labour leader if he does not win on July 4, he replied: “Yes.”

But the prospect is unlikely with Labour maintaining its double-digit lead in the polls.

Starmer admits comments about Bangladeshi community were 'clumsy'

Sir Keir Starmer has accepted his comments about the Bangladeshi community were "clumsy".

During a phone-in on BBC Radio 5 Live, one caller asked the Labour leader "how can we differentiate you with Nigel Farage" after "recent, racist" remarks about migrants.

It comes after Sir Keir said "people coming from countries like Bangladesh are not being removed" from the UK currently during the Sun's election debate on Monday.

"I spent yesterday making clear that I didn't intend to cause any upset or offence. I'm genuinely, genuinely concerned if that's the case," the Labour leader said.

Asked whether the comments had been clumsy, Sir Keir said: "Clumsy would be a good word, and I didn't mean to offend anyone, I was simply answering the question."

Starmer claims Farage has 'doesn't have answers to the big questions'

Nigel Farage has "rhetoric" but no answers to the big questions facing the country, Sir Keir Starmer has said.

The Labour leader told BBC Breakfast: "Of course he is having an impact, we can see in the polls... some of the result, but what he doesn't have is the answers to the huge challenges we are facing as a country, both in the UK itself and of course globally where there's probably more tension and conflict than there's been in very recent years.

"He doesn't have answers to the big questions. He's got rhetoric, for sure, but he doesn't have answers to the question.

"And I've always approached politics on the basis that politics should be about service, it should be about taking your country forward and therefore you have an obligation to understand what are the challenges, what are the ways in which we meet those challenges and put in place a viable plan to take our country forward."

Keegan blasts Labour's planned private school tax raid

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan has described Labour's plan to impose VAT on private schools as a "rubbish" policy.

Ms Keegan said there are about 2,400 independent schools in England and they are "at risk of losing pupils" under the plan.

She told LBC: "It doesn't take much for tens of thousands of pupils to be heading for the state sector in an unplanned way from September this year, which is what they first said they were going to do, now they're trying to say, I think one person said, it might be delayed a year.

"But it shows how rubbish the policy is because if you don't have a plan for children, a lot of these children have additional special educational needs as well, then that will affect every child in the country."

Nigel Farage savages 'frightened rabbit' Keir Starmer in brutal takedown

Nigel Farage has branded Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer “a frightened rabbit” and “dull as ditchwater” in a scathing assessment during a speech to supporters with just seven days to go before the general election.

And Rishi Sunak was also a target for the Reform UK leader, who described the Prime Minister as being “like a teenager trying to impress his prospective in-laws”.

Reform is currently in the spotlight after an undercover Channel 4 investigation captured activists making disparaging comments about ethnic minorities and the LBGT community. However, while Mr Farage conceded that he had been “let down by one or two people”, he concentrated his fire on the leaders of Britain’s two main parties.

Speaking in Boston in Lincolnshire last night, Mr Farage, who is standing for Parliament in Clacton, made reference to a BBC debate between the pair the previous evening.

       Tories 'fighting for every vote'

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan, asked how she thinks the Conservative Party election campaign has gone so far, told Sky News: "Well, it's still going and we're still fighting for every vote."

Ms Keegan said the opinion polls have produced a "whole range of different views", adding: "None of them looking like the best outcome for our party.

"But I think what is actually happening - and of course we're all out knocking on doors every single day - is there's a lot of undecided voters who previously have voted Conservative, who are frustrated for one reason or another, and there can be very many different reasons, but they haven't gone to another party, and that is actually the story of the doorsteps."

Keegan insists 'so many' voters are undecided

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan has said there are "so many" undecided voters ahead of polling day on July 4.

She told GB News: "I think all of us are out every day knocking on doors, all of us are saying the same thing - I was talking to a colleague yesterday - there are so many voters who are undecided and, of course, what's happening in the polls is everyone is trying to anticipate what they'll do, there's all kinds of algorithms trying to anticipate that, but what we're doing is going out on the doorstep.

"What is clear is many of these voters have not decided to go for another party. Some have, but not many have, and that's what we're finding on the doorstep, so this last week is crucially important, you should never take the voters for granted, none of us ever do."

Asked about whether Reform UK has rattled the Tories given its showing in the polls, Ms Keegan said: "What actually shows up a lot about the Reform Party is some of their disgraceful comments - either their racist comments or their comments about women, his (Reform UK leader Nigel Farage) comments about (Russian president Vladimir) Putin have cut through, a few people do mention that."

What to expect on the campaign trail on Friday

Rishi Sunak will turn his attention to education on the Conservative Party campaign trail in the North East.

The Prime Minister has launched an attack on Labour's plan to expand VAT so it covers private school fees, warning teachers and pupils could "see class sizes soar" under a Labour government.

Among the Conservative Party's education pledges is a ban on mobile phones during the school day and an end to what Mr Sunak calls "rip-off" university courses to create 100,000 more apprenticeships.

Homeowners are on Labour's agenda as shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves claims people remortgaging their homes face paying £4,800 more under the Conservative Party's fiscal plans.

Meanwhile, the Liberal Democrats will get their teeth into dentistry with a pledge to scrap tax on children's toothpaste and toothbrushes.

After the leaders of the UK's four largest political parties took questions on Question Time last week, Reform UK's Nigel Farage and Green Party co-leader Adrian Ramsay and will appear on a special broadcast on the BBC from 8pm.
