A GROUP of women who paid RM500 each to attend a bridal make-up workshop are demanding their money back, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The workshop was conducted by a well-known NGO involved in single mothers’ welfare.
However, 47 women had lodged police reports, saying they were promised the workshop would be limited to 20 people but there were more than 60 participants.
They also claimed poor organisation with so-called trainers chatting about things unrelated to make-up.
The women were promised Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia certificates by the Department of Skills Development Malaysia, but ended up with certificates without their names.
However, the certificates bore the signatures of Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and state exco member for entrepreneurial development and housing and urban wellbeing Rodziah Ismail.
The women, from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Perak and Negri Sembilan, said they felt cheated.
