In recent months, the Queen has been at the centre of speculation regarding abdication, due to the 95-year-old monarch's recent health issues. In October, the Queen spent one night in a London hospital. She was subsequently told to "rest" and only carry out light duties.

       Journalist Stéphane Bern stated that the sovereign will not "let go of the ramp".

       In an exclusive interview granted to Gala.fr, editor-in-chief of the magazine Dynastie stated his confidence in the health of the Queen.

       He said: "She once said that it was a job for life.

       "She will die queen even if her capacities are reduced.

       "She delegates, but will remain with Queen Victoria her model.

       He added: "It's a life of service,you serve until the end."

       Mr Bern gave an insight into the Queen's recent health issues.

       He stated: "She was above all obliged to obey her doctors.

       "They asked her not to go to Remembrance Day when she wanted to do so, likewise for COP 26.

       "I think she wants to be as fit as possible for her Platinum Jubilee, which will begin in February and culminate in June.

       "We wish England to celebrate this event. The opportunities to rejoice in these days are rare."

       Her historic reign spans 70 years. She was crowned on February 6, 1952 when she was just 25 years old.
