A MAN was so distraught over the death of his cousin that he jumped into her funeral pyre, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The man’s 18-year-old cousin, identified as Jothi Dagha, had been missing for a few days before her body was found inside a well in a village in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Her death devastated her cousin Karan Singh, 21.

After everyone left the funeral, he opted to stay on.

Relatives grew concerned when Karan didn’t return home.

They later went looking for him and were shocked to see him in the funeral pyre.

They retrieved his body but he died from his burns while on the way to hospital.

He was later cremated next to his beloved cousin.

       > Pupils of a Tamil school in Jenjarom, Selangor, got to experience the wonders of space during a workshop where they learned how to use a telescope, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The powerful telescope was brought courtesy of a science teacher from another school who was one of 12 candidates chosen to receive it after he took part in an international competition.

The teacher visited the Jenjarom school to share his experience with the pupils.
