KUALA LUMPUR: A man was arrested for allegedly molesting his girlfriend's four-year-old daughter.

       Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said in a statement on Sunday (April 7) that a 32-year-old woman had lodged a report after her daughter told her that she had been touched and kissed by the mother's boyfriend.

       The incident allegedly occurred in a hotel in the Melawati area.

       "Before this, the suspect had also beaten the victim's chest," he said.

       ACP Mohd Azam said that the investigation led to the arrest of a 37-year-old security guard on March 5.

       "He tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and cannabis," he said.

       The man has been remanded until March 12.
