SINGAPORE - A 69-year-old lorry driver died on Oct 22 in an accident with another lorry in Jurong West.
The driver of the second lorry, a 45-year-old man, is assisting with investigations, said police.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the accident in Neythal Road around 1.40pm.
SCDF used hydraulic equipment to release the victim, who was pinned to his seat. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a picture posted on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, a lorry with a purple bonnet and a shattered windscreen can be seen behind a brown lorry. A group of people in helmets surround the wreckage.
