SEPANG: A 20-year-old man who allegedly groped two women in Cyberjaya has been arrested at his home less than 10km away in Taman Putra Perdana, Puchong.
Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said the food delivery rider was arrested yesterday afternoon.
“The suspect was identified from CCTV footage and based on descriptions given by the victims.
“The footage showed the suspect arriving at Tamarind Square on a motorcycle minutes before the first attack,” he said.
The two women were groped at Tamarind Square in Cyberjaya on Tuesday.
The first woman was assaulted at a parking lot at 2pm, while the second victim was targeted 15 minutes later in front of an elevator.
ACP Wan Kamarul Azran said the first victim, who works as a personal assistant, was loading items into her car when the man approached her offering to help.
“After he helped put the items into the victim’s car, he squeezed her buttock and fled,” he said.
The second victim – a 34-year-old woman – was waiting at an elevator at Tamarind Square when the suspect hugged her from behind and groped her.
ACP Wan Kamarul Azran said the victim tried to escape but the suspect pushed her to the ground before fleeing.
