KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC) edged up in early trade after it received a one-year contract extension from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The counter rose 2.78%, or 1.5 sen to 55.5 sen. It has fallen some 3.4% so far this year.
BHIC has received a one-year contract extension from the Ministry of Home Affairs effective July 1, 2021 with the revised value of RM95.98mil.
The contract, originally secured in October 2016, is for the provision of integrated maintenance and logistic support services for three units of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency’s Dauphin helicopters.
The contract and the extended LOA will contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021.
