This article describes the various possible relationships between IRCs and the capabilities of other lines of operation. It identifies which relationships are more likely to promote collaboration across capability owners to ease integration, and which are less likely to do so. The article concludes by echoing the importance of finding ways to integrate across capabilities, regardless of their relationships, and suggesting some solutions (recognition of the problem as an aid to integrative focus, and incorporation of effects in the IE into the routine "fabric" of warfighting).
