The Democratic-led impeachment inquiry came to life in the past two weeks, as thousands of pages of depositions turned into five days of public hearings with 12 witnesses.
The public hearings, which started on November 13 with diplomats Bill Taylor and George Kent, wrapped on November 21 with a blockbuster hearing from David Holmes, an official from the US embassy in Ukraine, and Fiona Hill, a former foreign policy adviser at the White House.
