A prominent Lake County attorney was found dead in his ransacked Hobart home Thursday afternoon.
Hobart Police identified him as William T. Enslen, 75, who lived in the 3600 block of 61st Avenue, just east of Liverpool Road.
Capt. James Gonzales said Friday the case was being investigated as a homicide. He said police were called to the residence about 3:30 p.m. after Enslen’s wife returned home and found her husband lying on the ground, unresponsive and bleeding.
She told police the house had been ransacked.
Police cleared the home and set up a perimeter around the residence as dog teams searched the area but lost the scent.
