A 5-year-old girl was shot Sunday afternoon in the West Pullman neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
About 4:40 p.m., the girl was in an alley in the 11700 block of South Normal Avenue when she was shot in the right leg, police said. She was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where she was stabilized.
Police were investigating.
On Sunday evening, a small area in front of a blue-and-white garage off South Normal was taped off, while a group of kids played and biked across the street, and fireworks shot off from all directions.
