A 2-year-old boy and a man were critically injured Tuesday evening in a shooting in West Humboldt Park, according to police.

The child and a 32-year-old man were in front of a home in the 1500 block of North Tripp Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up. Someone inside the vehicle got out, pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said.
