D.C. police on Saturday arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy from Virginia with armed robbery and assault with a gun, and they are searching for a second perpetratorcaught on surveillance camera, police said.

The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Gales Street NE about 7:30 a.m., on July 22. Police said the suspects approached the victim, and one brandished a gun while another robbed the victim.
They said “a struggle ensued,” and the assailant with the gun shot the victim, then the robbers fled the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
