A woman was stabbed and critically wounded Wednesday night during an altercation with a man inside a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner, Fairfax County police said.
Police found the victim after responding to the report of a stabbing at the hotel in the 1700 block of Tysons Blvd. about 9:30 p.m., said Sgt. Tara Gerhard, a police spokeswoman. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening wounds, Gerhard said.

A man also was found injured at the scene and taken to a hospital, police said. Investigators took him into custody and consider him a person of interest in the attack, Gerhard said.
The incident did not appear to be a random attack, but police had not immediately interviewed the victim late Wednesday.
