A Woodbridge man died Saturday in a motorcycle crash after losing control and slamming into a home near an intersection in Dale City, Prince William County police said.
The motorcycle driver, identified as 26-year-old Carlos Erasmo Lopez Castro, was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Hillendale Drive, headed westbound on Dale. When the light turned green, he accelerated and lost control of the 2001 Honda motorcycle, investigators said.

It first careened into an unoccupied Mercedes-Benz parked in the driveway of a home in the 4500 block of Dale Boulevard, police said. Then it struck the home.
No one inside the residence was injured, according to Prince William County investigators.
Castro was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue personnel.
Prince William County police said in a Sunday morning news release that the investigation was ongoing.
