D.C. police have arrested and charged a man who they say was involved in a May homicide in Northeast Washington.
Juan Peterson, 31, of Northeast, was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder while armed in the slaying of Lester Howard.

Howard, 28, of Southeast, was fatally shot on May 15 in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue NE near the Anacostia Freeway in the Benning neighborhood, according to D.C. police.
Two women and another man were also shot and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Police said the case remains under investigation.
