       There are over 10,600 Britons with genetic condition CF, which destroys the lungs with sticky mucus.

       Last month we revealed how Vertex have finally applied give Kaftrio for the UK's 1,300 suitable youngsters aged six to 11.

       The MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) are currently started assessing the proposed new children's Kaftrio licence.

       That could be completed by October allowing thousands of desperate primary school-age children to soon access the wonder drug on the NHS.
