Panicked readers have been unable to access any news stories on the online newspaper as the website remains down. Every page, including the home page, features the same message.
It reads: "Sorry, page unavailable.
"We're having problems serving you the page you requested.
"Please try again in a minute."
When trying to click a story from their Twitter feed, another notification read: "There has been a critical error on your website."
It provided a link to "learn more about debugging in WordPress".
The website was down for around half an hour but has now been resolved.
This crash came after the newspaper posted the world exclusive about Matt Hancock's affair with his aide Gina Coladangelo.
People took to Twitter following the crash claiming Mr Hancock had "broke the internet".

Brexit fury: Major concerns over information website CRASHING [COMMENT]
This comes weeks after huge swathes of the internet were thrown into chaos as dozens of the most popular websites went offline on June 8.
From Amazon to eBay, Twitch.tv to Reddit, PayPal to Ticketmaster, and even Gov.uk and HMRC's online resources – none of these sites were able to load.
Major news websites, including The Guardian, Financial Times, and The New York Times also went dark due to the same error. Together, these sites attract millions of visitors every day.
Millions of those users were being confronted with a series of error messages, including "connection failure" and "Error 503 Service Unavailable".
People took to social media to air their grievances about the internet crash.
One person wrote: “So who’s just unplugged the internet?”
Another said: “What’s up with the major website crash? #amazon”
One more person wrote: “All the websites people say are down are working fine for me. The internet crash must be affecting some regions worse than others.”
