The man was filmed abandoning a 10-month-old husky on the side of a road in El Paso, Texas, last week. Video footage shows Campos removing the dog’s collar before getting into his car and driving off. The heartbroken husky than attempts to chase him, but can’t keep up.

       A video of the incident went viral and Campos was arrested on Tuesday after the cameraman reported him to El Paso County Sheriff and sent the video as evidence.

       The video has received more than one million likes and over 8,000 comments from disgusted viewers.

       One said: “The poor baby. Thank God someone was there to save it. Thank you and that fellow dog rescuer for all you do.”

       Another replied: “This is so sad and heartbreaking. Poor dogs! All they know is to show love.”

       A third added: “I am literally in tears, this is so heartbreaking.”
