Royal biographer Angela Levin was invited onto BBC to discuss Prince Harry's upcoming appearance at the ceremony in London to mark what would have been his late mother's 60th birthday. Both the Duke of Sussex and his brother Prince William are set to deliver a speech at the unveiling of the statue of Princess Diana. Ms Levin has warned that the event may not turn out as the reconciliation royal fans hope for and provided an insight into arrangements leading up to the poignant commemoration.

Ms Levin told BBC: "I think it spoilt it to be honest with you because all they have to do is take off the cover.

"But actually what everyone will be watching was their body language, how they looked at each other.

"Who is going to give their speech first because Prince Harry wanted to give a separate speech.

"Which I decided he didn't want the palace to see in advance."

The royal author continued: "William's has been seen by the palace.

"So there is all these dramas that are going to be part of it.

"And what in each of the speeches signifies their getting closer are they getting further apart.

"Or they have had a row this morning and I think that is going to be the key interest really."

Earlier on Thursday, Ms Levin also claimed that Prince Harry was out to "crush" the Royal Family.

She told GMB: "He said, 'I want this to make me not break me.'

"Harry wants to crush the Royal Family.

"He has been very very unkind saying that both Prince William and Prince Charles are stuck. He is demeaning the whole issue of the Royal Family."

Ms Levin added: "He wants to take on Diana's role and be like her in the future."

The Duke of Sussex is due to give a speech at the unveiling of a statue to his late mother at Kensington Palace later today.

However, royal commentator Charlie Rae has urged Prince Harry to avoid using the occasion as a platform to promote "some woke message."

Speaking on Wednesday, Mr Rae told Talkradio: "I just hope that tomorrow, and I'm sure he will, but tomorrow when he does make his speech tomorrow that it will be about his mother."
