The semi-final between England and Denmark was the biggest clash between the two nations in 19 years. The last important match between the two countries was the 2002 World Cup, which also saw England victorious with a 3-0 score.

However, in 2002 The Three Lions did not progress beyond the quarter final after they were knocked out by Brazil.

The England team secured a spot in the Euro 2020 final with the dramatic 2-1 win, making history as England reached their first final at a major tournament since the 1966 World Cup.

Fans were delighted when realising a 55-year dream had become reality and Royals were no exception.

Though the two Royals in Wembley put aside their football rivalries and had a friendly chat - and were reported to have wished each other "good luck".
