Prince Charles dons a kilt as he meets beach cleaning volunteers on Scotland visit

The Prince is on his annual trip to the Castle of Mey in Caithness, where he is expected to stay for more than a week. He rents the castle from the charitable trust that runs it. And he began his visit with three official engagements, a sign that royal life is returning to normal.

Charles is known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland and wore the tartan that goes with the title.

He met Dorcas and Allan Sinclair, of the Caithness Beach Clean Group, who showed him some objects they have collected from 3,500 beach cleans. And they shared a joke about the amount of men's pants they find.

The Castle of Mey is a former home of the Queen Mother.
