The 32-year-old grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II attended the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice event. Beatrice is a patron of the hospice and paid a visit to the event. The hospice helps children who suffer from life-shortening conditions and supports their families.

       It holds an annual summer art competition which the royal attended and judged.

       Beatrice is tasked with choosing her favourite piece of art by September 9 of this year.

       "I'm really looking forward to judging the Forget Me Not Summer Art Competition this year,” the princess said.

       “It was such a pleasure last year and I can't wait to see all your beautiful pictures. Good luck!"

       This year, children were asked to draw a picture of the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice mascot, Russell Bear, on his tenth birthday.

       In 2020, Beatrice chose a girl named Chloe - who painted the teddy Russell at a wedding - as the winner.

       “Russell Bear at a wedding. I mean Chloe, do you think this might be my wedding?” Beatrice asked.

       "Because I had the chance to get married this summer, and it was so much fun.

       “But I am not sure I looked as smart as Russell Bear does in his outfit.

       “So thank you so much Chloe for your incredible entry."

       Buckingham Palace announced Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, are expecting a first child together in May.

       Their July 2020 wedding was an intimate affair due to Covid restrictions.

       Their child will be the Queen's 12th great-grandchild.
