Journalist Sara Clark spoke to Youtube channel The List and looked at Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge's relationship with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. She noted that Camilla told Kate to be patient with Prince William and fit her schedule around him if the relationship was to work. This came at a time when Prince William was training to become a helicopter pilot and marriage wasn't on the schedule.

       Ms Clark said: "As things between Kate Middleton and Prince William grew more serious, it seems Camilla brushed aside any hard feelings that may have existed.

       "She apparently even went so far as to give the future Duchess of Cambridge advice on how to hold onto her man amid all the pressures of royal duty

       "Camilla would know as before her current relationship with Prince Charles, she had originally dated him decades prior.

       "Only to see it end when Charles was sent overseas to serve in the royal navy.

       "After Will and Kate graduated from college, the prince was expected to assume more official royal duties. At the same time, he was training to be a helicopter pilot in the Royal Air Force."

       Ms Clark noted how difficult things quickly became for Kate and the advice Camilla gave to her.

       Robert Lacey's wrote discussed n the rough start to Kate and William's relationship in his book 'Battle of Brothers: William, Harry and the Inside Story of a Family in Tumult'.

       Ms Clark continued: "After St Andrews University, William's timetable was proving rather un-fit-roundable according to Robert Lacey.

       "At the time, the book noted, "marriage had not been included in that schedule."

       "Camilla urged Kate to be patient and, as Lacey wrote, gave Kate the following advice: "Fit your timetable, basically your whole life, around his."

       "It seems Kate took it to heart, and Prince William eventually proposed in 2010."

       Prince William and Kate most recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary.

       They issued a thank you to the public in a tweet praising all the warm wishes and support they had received.

       It read: "We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family.

       They also attached a video that showcased themselves and their three children Prince George, Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
