A royal commentator has claimed that Prince Harry has "sacrificed a lot" with regards to his relationship to Meghan Markle, and criticised the Duke for allowing the Royal Family to be "trashed on international tv". The Sussexes stepped down from the Royal Family in 2020, and have since moved to California, where they have established their own non-profit foundation and have spoken out against the British monarchy.

       Royal commentator Neil Sean told Sky News Australia: "That's the weird thing actually, when you think about it this, on a serious note Prince Harry's sacrificed a lot, and whichever way he's in love, he's a father, that side of it is the thing, the element that he really wanted.

       "I always knew Prince Harry wanted to be a dad, you could sense that, but I think he's really given all of it.

       "He's sort of been like a complete wet blanket and let this woman dictate the narrative and also, not just trashed her own family but now trashed his on international TV.

       "So really, when he, and I'd say this loosely if it doesn't work out, where is he going to be moving forward?

       "We would welcome him back but what a damaged individual that now could possibly be."

       As part of their Megxit deal, Prince Harry renounced his HRH title and relinquished his royal patronages, many of which had been partnered with the Duke for several years.

       He was stripped of his military appointments, which included Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Honington and Commodore-in-Chief Small Ships and Diving.

       The couple were also ordered to repay the ￡2.4million spent on renovating Frogmore Cottage, where the Sussexes had intended on living.

       They were also denied security, which is provided by the Royal Protection Squad, an elite team of officers that is funded by the taxpayer.

       After conducting their final royal duties in March 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan moved to California, where they bought a large home in Montecito.

       In order to ensure their financial independence, the couple signed a deal with streaming giants Netflix and Spotify that is estimated to be worth ￡100million.

       The deal will see the couple produce a range of "informative" and "uplifting" content.

       Since leaving the Royal Family, the couple have led a strained relationship with their royal relatives, and openly criticised Buckingham Palace during their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

       Accusations included Palace aides refusing to correct damaging tabloid articles about Meghan, the Royal Family ignoring the couple's mental health and a senior member of the family making a racist remark about their unborn son.

       Prince Harry said he felt "really let down" by Prince Charles, and characterised his relationship with Prince William as "space".

       In subsequent interviews, he has continued to speak negatively of his experiences within the Royal Family, comparing it to "being in a zoo". He is also due to release his memoir next year, which will shed further light into his life as a senior working royal.

       The interviews caused a PR crisis for Buckingham Palace, who later released a statement to say that whilst "recollections may vary", the Duke and Duchess remained much-loved members of the family.
