BANGALORE - On July 30, within hours of it becoming clear that Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain would bring home at least a bronze medal from the Tokyo Olympics, residents in her village of Baro Mukhia in the north-eastern Indian state Assam heard the sound of excavators and trucks.
The dirt track that led to the her village was paved overnight after more than 30 years of neglect.
