Huda Kattan was born on October 2, 1983 in Oklahoma as one of four children to her Iraqi parents.
She started out working in finance as a recruiter but ending up losing her job after the recession.
Not long afterwards, Huda decided to move to Los Angeles to study her longtime passion: make up.
After finishing her studies in Los Angeles in 2009, Huda decided to move to Dubai in an attempt to become the most popular beauty blogger in the Arab world.
She began blogging in 2010, using her Western world knowledge of beauty standards to reshape Arab understandings of beauty.
Huda has since become hugely popular in the Middle East with her viral beauty hacks, sense of humour, and striking resemblance to the Kardashians.
Kattan started her own cosmetic company, Huda Beauty with her two sisters in 2013 when she couldn't find false eyelashes to buy.
