A BRITISH woman who married a double killer is moving to the US to be closer to him - despite the fact he will remain in jail until 2034.

Victor Oquendo, 30, shot two men in a gangland hit, and played a part in three armed robberies

So far he has served ten years of his 24-year sentence.

Oquendo shot two men in a gangland hit, and played a part in three armed robberies.

The pair first got in contact when she was a trainee counsellor, looking to become a mentor.

After writing, the couple exchanged phone calls and quickly fell in love.

Naoimi now claims the the pair tied the knot in a jailhouse wedding last wedding.

       MOVING STATESIDE

She currently spends around £270 a month on ringing the US and send her lover emails - it’s $20 to send 200 messages to Oquendo’s jail account.

But now she has revealed she is taking the plunge to move stateside in a recent TikTok video.

Meanwhile she has started a petition to have her incarcerated husband granted clemency for his crimes.

As it stands the petition on Change.org has over 5000 signatures.

It reads: "I believe Victor should be granted clemency, not only because his case was unjust but he's also a 30-year-old man now who has learnt from his mistakes and wants to be given a second chance at life.

"He is extremely remorseful for that act he committed, he has already served 11 years in prison.

"If the good behaviour act is approved he will serve an extra six or seven on top of that.

"I believe that he has done his time and paid his debt back to society and should be given a second chance.

"He is a completely changed man, he is 30-years-old now, he's not an 18-year-old boy who is in a gang he really wants a second chance at life and to give back to society."

       MATING A MURDERER

Naomi previously told The Mirror: "Victor is the man I want to be with. From the beginning, I knew it was different."

The pair have not had any physical contact but Naomi says they are very "emotionally connected".

Conjugal visits are not permitted in Michigan, where Oquendo is serving his sentence.

But Naomi told the Mirror: "Sex is not a deal-breaker for me. I’m happy to stay faithful."

She added: "And we do try to be intimate on the phone when we can. We find moments to have intimacy together. We’re also in contact with each other throughout the day and Victor is such a good listener."

While Naomi says her and Oquendo are madly in love, it wasn’t all plain sailing.

Her beau chose to hold back his gritty past for the first two weeks they were chatting.

Naomi said: “I was shocked. It was a lot to take in. I wanted to know how he felt about what he’d done. If he didn’t care that would have been a red flag, but he’s extremely remorseful.

“He struggles to live with himself and has night terrors. It said a lot to me about the person he really is.”
