A SCHOOLBOY has been knifed to death in Manchester - before a car linked to the tragedy smashed into a pedestrian.
Cops say they're probing the shocking incidents after horror exploded in the city during broad daylight.

Police were first called to Norton Street in Old Trafford just before 6pm yesterday after the lad, 16, suffered fatal stab injuries.
Detectives say he was attacked by two "unknown males".
He was rushed to hospital, but despite the efforts of medics, died a short time later.
No arrests have yet been made.
After the tragedy, two further crime scenes were then set up.
The first was established in Upper Chorlton Road - less than half a mile away - after car crash.

The second is in Cross Street, two and a half miles away, where a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
The pedestrian's injuries are not believed to be serious.
Officers say they believe the vehicle is linked to their murder investigation.
Forensic tests are being carried out this morning.
Greater Manchester Police Detective Superintendent Danny Inglis said: "First and foremost, our thoughts are with the victim's family at this incredibly sad time.
"They are being supported by our specialist officers.
"This is an horrific incident where a young man has tragically lost his life.
"We are following a number of lines of inquiry to establish exactly what has happened, and to bring those responsible to justice.
'IT'S HORRIFIC'
"We know this happened at a time of day when people would still be out and about or returning home.
"We're keen to hear from anyone who may have information that could help our investigation, no matter how small it may seem."
