Post today's meeting, Congress national general secretary Harish Rawat, who is also the party's in-charge for Punjab, said, "In the next 3-4 days, there will be good news for Punjab Congress."
As Kishor was meeting the Congress leaders today, Navjot Singh Sidhu took to Twitter to issue a clarification. Sidhu's recent statement is being viewed as a rebuttal to speculation that he might join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) amidst his long-standing tussle with CM Singh.

Kishor is Captain Amarinder Singh's principal adviser. He has joined Singh ahead of the assembly elections in Punjab. Assembly elections in Punjab are scheduled for next year.
Kishor had handled the Congress poll campaign in the 2017 Punjab assembly polls. The Congress in 2017 had stormed to power by bagging 77 seats in the 117-member assembly.
Kishor was the brain behind Punjab Congress programmes such as "Coffee with Captain" and "Punjab Da Captain" to drum up support for the party.

Recently, Prashant Kishor has also met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar. The closed-door discussions between Kishor and Pawar, held at the latter's residence in Delhi, lasted for about an hour, as per reports.
Kishor, who was instrumental in the thumping victory of the Trinamool Congress in the West Bengal Assembly elections, had met Pawar over lunch at his residence in Mumbai on 11 June. He again called on the NCP chief at his residence in Delhi few days later.
These meetings with Pawar has fuelled speculations about the possibility of opposition parties coming together to form a third front against the Bharatiya Janata Party.
