KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Handal Energy Bhd rose over 4% in early trade Friday after securing a contract from ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc.
The integrated crane services provider rose 4.35%, or one sen to 24 sen. It has fallen some 11% so far this year.
Handal has won a five-year contract from ExxonMobil to provide crane operation and maintenance services.
It said the contract awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary Handal Cranes Sdn Bhd is valid for five years effective from June 15, 2021, until June 14, 2026.
It said the contract secured did not have any specified value as it is on a call-out basis whereby work order will be issued at the discretion of ExxonMobil based on a schedule of activities throughout the duration of the contract.
