PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has detected 30 new Covid-19 clusters in the country, with 20 of them linked to outbreaks in workplaces.
The workplace clusters account for 629 confirmed cases in the country, the ministry said in its daily Covid-19 press updates.
The biggest workplace cluster is the Industri Jalan Seruling 57 cluster, where 101 cases have been found.
The cluster was detected from a targeted screening exercise conducted on more than 300 workers of a factory at Taman Klang Jaya in Klang.
Nine clusters have been classified as community outbreaks.
This includes the Taman Bukit Angkasa cluster in Kuala Lumpur, which has 101 confirmed cases to date.
More than 300 residents of the Taman Bukit Angkasa community had undergone a targeted screening exercise.
Meanwhile, one cluster linked to an old folks home in Klang has been categorised as a high-risk group cluster.
About 40 residents and staff of the home in Jalan Cox had undergone a targeted screening exercise, in which 15 cases have been confirmed.
Nationwide, there are now 867 active clusters.
