SIBU: The Covid-19 vaccination centre at the Rejang Medical Centre administered its 10,000th dose on Tuesday (June 29).

       Rejang Medical Centre general manager Anne Lau said that it’s encouraging to see the community unite for a common cause.

       “We’ve been open to the public for a few weeks now and more and more people are registering to roll up their sleeves, wanting to help put a stop to the spread of this virus,” said Lau.

       However the achievement could not have been done without the cooperation from the public, frontliners, volunteers and the government, and we are extremely grateful for all the hard work that has been put in, she said.

       Overall, the vaccination process has been proceeding smoothly though Lau reminds members of the public that appointment times and bookings must be made via the MySejahetera app, as walk-ins are unable to be accommodated.

       “We’re still keeping up the momentum and injecting over a thousand people a day. Hopefully, our community will be able to feel safe again soon,” she said.

       Rejang Medical Centre urges everyone to get vaccinated when they are eligible to do so.
