PETALING JAYA: Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC), through a joint venture, has been granted a one-year contract extension by the government in relation to the provision of integrated maintenance and logistic support services for three units of helicopters for the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said with the letter for extension received by BHIC Aeroservices Sdn Bhd (BHICAS), the contract, effective from Oct 1, 2016 to June 30, 2022, came with a new total ceiling value of RM95.98mil.
BHICAS is a joint venture between BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (51%), Prestige Pillar Sdn Bhd (30%) and Airbus Helicopters Malaysia Sdn Bhd (19%).
BHIC Defence is a wholly owned subsidiary of BHIC.
