IPOH: Four Vietnamese women who allegedly offered sexual services have been arrested in a raid at a condominium in Gunung Rapat here.
Perak Immigration director Hapdzan Husaini said the women also did not have valid travel documents, were in breach of their social visit passes by working illegally, and had overstayed.
"Upon seeing our officers, the women tried to escape by jumping out of the window from the unit on the first floor.
"Two of them were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment," he said in a statement on Friday (july 2).
"We already had the area surrounded and none of them were able to escape," he added.
Hapdzan said it is believed that the women charged RM250 an hour for their services.
"We also found condoms and massage oil, believed to be used during the sessions with their clients.
"Appointments were made via messaging apps.
"All of them have admitted to offences under the Immigration Act," he added.
Hapdzan said the raid was part of a two-day operation during which some 86 foreigners here were checked on July 1 and 2.
He said 16 Indonesian women, two Bangladeshi men and one man from Myanmar were also arrested during the operation.
"We've checked 16 locations, including wholesale markets, condominiums, restaurants and convenience stores.
"All those arrested, aged between 24 and 50, are being detained for further investigation and the next course of action," he said, adding that the operation was conducted following a tip-off.
"Members of the public are urged to channel information and lodge reports so that action can be taken," he added.
