IPOH: The police will continue to enforce the laws under the Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) as Perak enters the second phase starting Monday (July 5), says Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.
The state police chief said the duties of the police force would continue as usual.
"We will wait for the full standard operating procedures.
"But there's not much difference from the first phase," he said when contacted.
"Crossing of states and districts is still not allowed.
"Our policemen, including those manning roadblocks and monitoring the observance of the SOP will carry on normally," he added.
Perak is among five states, including Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu and Perlis, that will move into the second phase of the NRP starting Monday.
This is after three indicators - low number of positive Covid-19 cases, control of beds in intensive care unit wards, increased percentage of the population vaccinated - have been met.
