KUALA LUMPUR: Eight Vietnamese women, believed to be working as guest relations officers (GROs), were detained following a raid on an entertainment outlet in Changkat Thambi Dollah here.
Kuala Lumpur deputy CID chief Asst Comm Nasri Mansor said police also detained seven men, including two customers, during the 2am bust yesterday.
“All of the women ran into several rooms when the police entered the premises.
“We are investigating how long this outlet has been operating,” he added.
ACP Nasri said police also seized a digital matrix processor unit, a karaoke professional digital audio unit, a speaker, a central processing unit, two microphones and seven condoms during the raid.
“A male worker and five of the Vietnamese women tested positive for methamphetamine.
“The suspects, aged between 19 and 57, will be remanded for further investigation,” he added.
