KUALA LUMPUR: Industrial rubber hose maker Wellcall Holdings Bhd reported higher sales and profits in the third quarter ended June 30 amid strong recovery in global demand for its products.

       Net profit surged 81% to RM7mil from compared with RM3.9mil made a year ago. Revenue jumped 36% to RM35mil.

       Exports accounted for 92% of revenue, the company said in a filing today.

       "Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Board believes that the Group's prospects in the forthcoming financial year ending Sept 30 continues to remain positive and the Group is able to sustain its performance despite challenges ahead," Wellcall said.
