PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia detected a new record of 21,668 Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Aug 12), says the Health Ministry.

       This is the highest daily figure so far since the pandemic began.

       The nation’s cumulative number of Covid-19 cases has now reached 1,342,215 cases.

       Seven states reported four-digit figures - Selangor (6,278 cases), Kuala Lumpur (2,436), Kedah (2,143), Sabah (2,052), Johor (1,706), Penang (1,229) and Sarawak (1,216).
